Guest house "Gremi" is situated in a beautiful, historically important area of Kakheti - in Gremi village which was the capital of Kakheti kingdom (Eastern Georgia). It reached a peak of its economical and cultural development in the 16th century and in the world of that time was well-known as a trade town located on the Silk Road.
The historical ensemble of the area includes the castle of 15th century, which was a residence of Kakheti kings . Here is also situated various ancient architectural monuments: ancient churches, houses of feudals, a caravanserai, a market, sulphur baths, a winery and vast grape lands surrounded by the Great Caucasus mountains.
